And the day came when the risk to remain tight in a bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.

TESTIMONIALS

I can’t recommend this retreat enough. Joining Leslie in the Mayan Rivera last April was the best decision I’ve ever made for myself. It was a huge jump out of my comfort zone to travel solo, but when I was warmly greeted with open arms by Leslie and Janet from Copal, any doubts were quickly washed away. The week was a perfect mix of yoga, free time, amazing fresh food and planned group activities. By the end of the week I had a new level of appreciation for practicing yoga, creating a creative energy and setting aside time to create a sacred space for myself, to check in to what I need and remembering what I’m grateful for - priceless lessons I will keep with me for a lifetime.

Accepted, inspired, challenged—this is how I felt during Leslie’s Yoga and Writing Retreat in Mexico. One of my best worldtrip memories (truly!).
— Emma, Rotterdam, Netherlands
This was an incredibly thoughtful retreat. I would show up for sunrise yoga and some poses would conjure an “I can’t do that!” But I would try and often do. The writing immediately after allowed me to anchor this self-realization and courage and surprise myself by taking it off the mat for such an awakening of life. Then the sunset yoga would reconnect me with all experiences during the day to seal it in and open me more. Thank you, Leslie, for helping us connect to our humanity and divinity in such a beautiful space!”
— Charis Davis, Durham, North Carolina
This retreat is all about love and especially self-love. It allowed me to re-connect with the “me” that I love and I was able to do it with the many new friends that I made that has connected us forever.
— Naseem Rouhani, San Luis Obispo, CA
This is a must for anyone not wanting to do the padded extravagance of the all-inclusive and not quite willing to brave it in a hostel. The house setting gives it an intimate and familial feel. Every meal was a hit, even when things were made with ingredients I didn’t like. I had seconds, in fact! You MUST go to the cenote. It’s what heaven looks like; I’m sure of it. I honestly cannot wait to go back.
— Kyla Pearce, Saskatoon, SK. Canada
Leslie teaches yoga as a whole practice. Her classes are challenging for all mind, body, and spirit. She is creative with her flow sequences and offers options for beginners to advanced. I have practiced yoga for 10 years and just love attending Leslie’s classes
— Jirina Zahradnickova, San Luis Obispo, CA
Leslie provided little writing starts to help me start to grow my garden of creativity, and it felt amazing.
— Aimee Warner, Las Vegas, NV
Leslie is a master at teaching and cultivating connection. Connection to self, others, and the universe. With all of the flowing, shaking, writing, and dancing, Leslie so thoughtfully guided us through all the feels. I am still riding the Gratitude is my Superpower high!
— Jenny Santos, Grover Beach, CA
I attended a yoga and writing retreat with Leslie. I’m not much of a writer by any stretch; however, there is something about Leslie. She’s warm, soft and approachable and makes you feel safe to share your story in a loving caring environment. Something radiates from her. I’m also not much of a yogi either .. but she guides you through all poses without judgment. She brings you out of your comfort zone in the most comfortable way. I got much more than I ever anticipated out of my experience; the time I spent at this retreat touched and affected me deeply, and I can’t thank her enough for her warm and comforting approach to all guests. You just have to meet her, and you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.
